Surgery
So, what a weekend. My dad had 2 heartattacks this past year and after the second in September he had a triple bypass. It made me a lot closer to my grandmother than I have been my whole life. We bonded as adults who were scared to lose our loved one. Well, on Friday, he had to go back in to have a bypass on his carotid artery. So another long day of waiting. He did great though. He got to go home on Saturday and was doing wonderful. So I raced home to be with my family again. I missed them so much and was only gone 2 nights. It's crazy how things have changed since Peyton. I want to be with my husband and appreciate him so much more than ever before.

Lovely Lazy Sunday
What a great day of nothingness. I slept in. I finished reading my book (I read pretty much nonstop from about 10am until about 2:00pm). I went to the grocery (my hubby came with and made for a very quick, easy trip). I did some catching up on the computer. I cooked dinner and cleaned up the kitchen and threw in a load of clothes. I started reading a new book. That about sums up my day.
Some days, if they played out like this one, would leave me bored out of mind and wishing that I had some big something to get done. However, today it was the perfect day. E was at his Mimi's. The baby was pretty easy most of the day. Jeff played video games almost all day. It was just a nice quiet easygoing day.

Beef Tips in the Oven?
Well, I've never personally made this recipe, but it's suppose to be easy and yummy. We will see.
~1 pound Sirloin Tips, cubed
~1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
~1 package Beef with Onion Soup Mix
~1/2 cup Fresh Mushrooms (sliced) ( I'm using canned tonight)
~1 cup Water
In a 11x9 dish, combine all ingredients except Sirloin and mix throughly. Add Sirloin Tips and coat well. Put in the oven preheated to about 400 degrees for about an hour. Serve over cooked rice or egg noodles.
Sounds easy enough and I can't wait to get it going and give it a try.
ETA: These turned out pretty yummy and it was extremely easy. I added some finely chopped onion in when I mixed it up. It was a little saltier than I would have liked, when I do it again, I'll use a sodium free cream of mushroom.....

Wow, Long Time-No See
I know that I have completely abandoned the blog for months and months and months. I suck! The baby is already here and 6 weeks old, lol. That's how bad I suck, lol. Here is a quick recap of the last months....
~Worked Worked Worked
~Prepped for baby, bought, organized, set up...
~Pregnancy stayed very easy and flew by except for the last month or so.
~Stopped working when I was 35 weeks and enjoyed time with E man and stuck with keeping house clean and dinner cooked.
~Was induced on Nov 23, 9 days late.
~Labor was super easy and so was the delivery and recovery.
~Peyton Sophia arrived weighing in at 7 lbs and 15 oz and was 21 in long. She was a beautiful little chunk.(still is)
~Holidays kept us super busy but were great for all.
~Peyton is a pain in my booty. We love her to death, but she doesn't sleep great at night (It's gotten so much better! She slept just plain aweful for over a month) and wants to be held constantly (also getting better).
~Oh and Ethan is almost completely potty trained!!!!!
Well that is a quick catch up.
Now it is still under 30 degrees outside in SE Texas, man! Way too cold. So warm beef tips and rice for dinner is going to be oh so yummy!

Knock Out
A late late night and I'm wide awake. It's just about two in the morning and Jeff is still at work. He had to go in tonight to do some maintance. I began reading a fan fiction story that a friend is writing and am totally engulfed in it. It's really good and will gladly post the link if anyone is interested. Anyways, here I sit alone in my bed reading.
Ethan has barely stirred most the night all night except I keep waking him. He hit his head pretty hard ont he coffee table and had me worried and so I was told to keep him up for two hours and then wake him every hour (I am only waking him about every two hours) He seems fine and says Mama, Daddy, then he settles back down and asks for his blankie, sassy, kitty, etc. and goes back down.

XBOX and Pizza, I sound like a man!
So, we got our income check back and instead of saving the money like we yell at each other to do, Jeff talked me into buying him an XBOX 360. I did it, willingly because his birthday didn't go well the beginning of February. But, with this new baby coming, we need to get into a house and leave this beloved apartment. And iin order to do that we need money. Oh well, he is enjoying it and I will to. I wanted a WII instead, but maybe in a few months if I'm extra good with money, I'll treat myself to one (they are cheaper right now than the xbox).
Also I made my very first homemade pizza for dinner tonight. It was pretty good considering all the ingredients were store brand.

Blogger Buddy
So totally just found something new. A friend told me about Blogger Buddy which is a gadget in your Vista Sidebar where you can post to your Blog from. I'm trying it out. Maybe I'll update more now that I have it!
Thanks D.
